Can you take an Uber, Lyft, or taxi to and from Myrtle Beach Safari?

Riding services are welcome to pick up and drop off at the safari. We do not accept late arrivals so be sure to give yourself plenty of time. There is a check in building that has shelter, restrooms, and picnic tables that you can wait for your tour guide in upon arrival When your encounter is over, this is the same place you will be picked up from. Please keep in mind we do not have lockers so if you bring any personal belongings they will be put behind the front desk and not allowed on the tour.

How old do you have to be to participate in the Myrtle Beach Safari tour?

All ages are welcome. All participants regardless of age are required to pay the full tour fee.

How do I schedule a private encounter?
Is the Myrtle Beach Safari handicap accessible?

The preserve is not wheelchair or walker accessible due to stairs and natural terrain. Our satellite location at Barefoot Landing has ramps and is wheelchair accessible.

Expecting mothers are welcome to do all of our encounters. There are no complications with pregnancy. On the day and night safari there are stairs you will have to go up and down and about 15-20 minutes of walking.

How many days in advance do I need to make a reservation for the Myrtle Beach Safari tour?

It is always best to book your tour as far in advance as possible as we have a limited capacity and we do sell out.

What do you do if it's raining on the day of the Myrtle Beach Safari Wild Encounters Tour?

Tours will operate rain or shine. A large majority of the tour is covered, and we have the capacity to move portions of it inside if needed. We do have complimentary umbrellas available, but we recommend that if it is raining that you bring your own rain jacket/poncho and wear clothing you do not mind getting a little damp in.

What discounts do you offer?

Booking more than one option at a time will also automatically apply a discount at checkout. Due to the limited availability of our tours, we are unable to offer any larger discounts.

Will there be restrooms at the Myrtle Beach Safari?

Yes, there are restrooms available on the property.

Will there be hands on animal interaction on the tour? What animals will I get to touch?

Our Myrtle Beach Safari Wild Encounters Day and Night Safari Tours are fully interactive. You will get to meet, pet, and hold a large variety of our animal ambassadors. The animals on your tour will vary depending upon the day and the time of year, but you will always have the opportunities to spend time with our tiger babies, hang out with our monkeys or apes and meet exotic animals you've probably never even heard of before. If you're wanting the most time with our baby tiger cubs, then you'll want to purchase the Wild Encounters Day Safari Tour. If you're wanting the most time with our incredible and rare adult tigers (the big cats!), then you'll want to purchase the Wild Encounters Night Safari Tour.
